INDEPENDENT COMPONENT 2

LITERAL

(a) “I, Christian Velez, affirm that I completed my independent component which represents 30 hours of work.”
(b) My Mentor Eric Bugarin (personal trainer)
(d) I feel like I learned a rather different workout style from my new mentor. Every Time my mentor told me something factual he would provide it with evidence. I learned the many different workouts that really are great for tearing the muscle fibers which then result into muscle mass gains. I was taught a little bit on supplements and as to which supplements are the best for me. I really learned a lot of new things with my new mentor.

INTERPRETIVE

Doing Weekly training and learning many new workouts with my mentor was definitely a different experience. Ive never felt so fatigue after any of my workouts till I worked out with my new mentor. He does more endurance workouts which in result will mostly make strength gains.

In this exercise (straight-bar Pushdowns) your abs need to be tight and you could either have your legs straight or in a position that feels more comfortable. 3-4 sets of 10-15 reps. This exercise really tears into the tricep muscle fibers.
Here is another workout that works out the chest and tricep muscles. ( dips ) doing 3 sets and the first two are from 10-12 reps and the last set is till failure.

APPLIED

It really helps a lot when you have a personal trainer by your side because if you make a mistake its fixed right then and there. Also having your trainer as a spotter so that when you are lifting heavy weights you could be assisted so no injury will occur. My mentor Eric taught me really how to perform every workout with the correct form and I remember one thing he always said was to keep your abs tight in most of my workouts. Most of the things that he taught me i already knew from my past mentor but Eric would really go more into detail with his facts. After mentoring with Eric I feel like now i could probably become a personal trainer and be able to teach others how to workout correctly.

Independent Component 1

LITERAL
(a) I, Christian Velez, affirm that I completed my independent component which represents 30 hours of work.
(b) Will, Brink. Bodybuilding Revealed. Book. My Mentor (expert in weight training field).
(c) Provide a digital spreadsheet. Check
(d) Explanation of what you completed: for this independent component I really did lots of mentorship with my mentor. This really was the most important and helpful source for this project. I got all of my 3 answers to the EQ from this independent component.
INTERPRETIVE
Defend your work and explain how the significant parts of your component and how it demonstrates 30 hours of work.
Provide evidence (photos, transcript, art work, videos, etc) of the 30 hours of work. For this independent component I did manage to get a new personal trainer who happens to own a gym. I was actually learning from both mentors at the same time which was really convenient. Learning the importance of weight training and how to prevent injury during a workout. Then whatever I learned that day I would research the science part behind all of this stuff. Ive learned so much from this independent component. I will be putting up more videos of the different workouts that are helpful to all for preventing injury in the gym. I also have pictures of the supplements and nutrition that I have been taking and eating.
APPLIED
How did the component help you understand the foundation of your topic better?  This component really gave me more time to really research and discover many great ways that I could answer my EQ. The foundation of this component is really the basics of weight training and getting to know how muscle mass is really increased. Mentoring almost everyday to really become an expert in the field of weight training isnt easy. There is lots to still learn but I now know the 3 most important parts of my eq.

Independent Component 1 Approval

1.  Describe in detail what you plan to do for your 30 hours.
I plan to keep doing my mentorship hours with my mentor. Im going to be working out with my mentor a lot more and I will learn a lot more. Hopefully I can get a new mentor soon so I can see how differently personal trainers workout as well.

2.  Discuss how or what you will do to meet the expectation of showing 30 hours of evidence.
I will not only show it physically but I will also show by having pictures and videos with my mentor. Maybe sometimes at the gym and sometimes when were eating after the gym. A visual representation is always good  evidence wise.

3.  Explain how what you will be doing will help you explore your topic in more depth.
Its not only just about going to the gym and working out but its about learning how to become a fit body builder. I will learn as much as I can so that later I will become an expert in body building. Then I will probably be able to become a personal trainer after I feel like I have met my goal.
